Josh Hontz ESU track and field season in NCAA Championships
Josh Hontz extended his track and field season at East Stroudsburg University straight into the NCAA Championships this past Spring.
Hontz became the sixth Warrior to compete in the javelin events at NCAA Championships in the last 10 years, which included All-Americans Barry Krammes (2002-03) andf Dan Gale (2004).
Hontz ended up with a 13th place finish with a throw of 183-feet and 11-inches.
Hontz earned his first appearance at the NCAA Championships thanks to throwing a season-best of 201-feet, 11-inches at the Division II provisional qualifier at Lock Haven back in May.
With that throw, Hontz qualified for the NCAA Championships, but recorded a 12-th place finish in the Division II qualifier.
