R.R. Frey Services repeated as champions of Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) Summer Basketball Leagueas by defeating Service Electric, 64-50.
R.R. Frey Services opened up the game on a 9-2 run and then used a big second half to close out the game. Leading 33-27 at halftime, it opened up the second half on a 9-0 run and never looked back.
League MVP Jim Barron scored 14 of his game-high 25 points in the second half, knocking down three triples along the way. Jeremy Frey added 11 points.
R.R. Frey held an edge on the glass with 28 rebounds to Service Electric's 20.
Jeff Peel was the lone double digit scorer for Service Electric with 11 points. Joe Schaeffer and Tom Zulkowski each had eight points.
