Son cited for assaulting father

A son was cited for assaulting his father in a domestic incident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported that about 6:10 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 2, officers were called to 12 Old Post Rd., in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, for a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival officers learned that Ronald McLaughlin, no age given, and his son, Cory McLaughlin, 30, had a physical dispute during which the father sustained a visible injury.

Cory was takne into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment. He was then transported to the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police said.
