Arizona man jailed on criminal warrant

Jim Thorpe police are investigating a case of suspicious activity by an Arizona man.

Police received a call on July 31 about two men in the 300 block of North Street looking into cars and into homes. Det. Lee Marzen found the men in the area of 206 Oak St. He had been advised by the Carbon County Communications Center that one of the men, Randy Joel Simmons, of Mesa, Ariz., was wanted on two outstanding felony warrants from Wright County, Mo..

Simmons was arrested and jailed in the county prison to await extradition to Missouri.
