Family reunion

The descendants of Weaver John Fretz and his brother, Christian, will gather Saturday, Aug. 14 at 9 a.m. at St. Matthew's Kellers Church, 3668 Ridge Rd., Perkasie, to celebrate the 122nd anniversary of the first Fretz Family Reunion.

The family arrived in Bucks County from Germany n the 1720s and has spread to many states in the U.S.A. and Ontario. Many with names such as Albright, Alderfer, Benner, Bishop, Clemmer, Derstine, Detweiler, Fly, Hockman, Kindig, Landis, Meyers, Moyers, Nyce, Pritchard, Rush, Steeley, Wismer and Yoder are among many noted throughout genealogy books.

Family and friends are welcome to bring a "what's it" for show and tell. Lunch will be a covered dish with meat, rolls and beverages provided.

The afternoon program will feature the travels of William Edger Geil in China, which will be presented by the Doylestown Historical Society.

All are welcome to join the Fretz family for renewing acquaintances and making new friends.
