FAMILY REUNIONs

The 94th Gerber/Garber family reunion will be held on Saturday, Aug. 14, at the West Penn Community Park near Snyders (located off Route 309 about eight miles south of Tamaqua). All descendants of Henry and Magdalena (Dietrich) Gerber and their 12 children are welcome to attend. Henry Gerber is the progenitor of the West Penn Township Gerber/Garbers, settling in the township in the late 1790s. A genealogist will be on hand to answer questions.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. followed by a noontime meal. The business meeting will take place at 2 p.m. The afternoon will include the awarding of special prizes, a Chinese auction drawing and bingo.

Participants are reminded to bring a covered dish and/or dessert to share, place settings for your family, an item for the Chinese Auction and prizes for bingo.
