Retail theft arrests

Pocono Mountian Regional police reported on two retail theft arrests made by officers on Monday, Aug. 2, in separate incidents.

About 5:04 p.m. officers were called to the Walmart store in Mt. Pocono. Loss prevention officers had Robert Lilly II, 22, of Pocono Summit, detained. Police said Lilly attempted to remove $101 worth of DVDs from the store. He was cited and released.

At 5:20 p.m. officers were called to Bill's Shoprite Supermarket in Mt. Pocono for a male in custody for theft. At the scene officers fund Albert Cruz, 44, of Tobyhanna. At the time Cruz had no photo identification in his possession. Further investigation revealed his true name.

He was cited for theft and false ID to law enforcement officers.
