Monroe incident

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported they are investigating an unlawful detention/impersonation of enforcement officer incident. The incident was reported on Sunday, Aug. 8, by a female driver.

According to police, a silver Jeep with a male driver stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Elmwood Drive and Evergreen Road, in Indian Mountain Lakes development.

The female said the Jeep had blue strobe lights in the front grill of the vehicle.

A white male, about six feet tall, clean shaven and medium build was wearing a uniform similar to a police uniform, the victim told officers.

It was determined he was not a police officer or an Indian Mountain Lakes security guard.

A search of the area was conducted but the vehicle in question was not located.
