Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on arrests made recently.

On July 31 about 2:44 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the street outside the Copa Bar, Fork St., Mt. Pocono. It was reported that a male was threatening to pull a gun after an argument.

When officers arrived they learned that Onix Ayala, 25, of Pocono Pines, got mad at Casford Carr and Duncan Keizer, both of Tobyhanna. Ayala was extremely intoxicated, police were told, and once outside the bar made threats to Carr and Keizer.

Ayala was interviewed later in the day and admitted to being intoxicated but denied having a run. He was cited for disorderly conduct, police said.

On Aug. 2 about 12:09 a.m. officers observed several people outside a closed business along SR903 near the old Tudor Inn/Fern Rige Ski Rental. One of the group, a male, began to walk away. Officers followed the male who then ran into the woods. Police chased him into the woods and caught him. He was identified as Joseph Bernek, 18, no address given. He was arrested for public drunkenness.

Police said during a further investigation other persons were located in the woods and charged with underage drinking. Cited were Miguel Ocasio, 20, and two juveniles.
