Graduates cum laude from Bloomsburg Univ.

Ashley Yurick, daughter of Theresa and the late Paul Yurick Jr. of Summit Hill, graduated cum laude from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education.

She was on the dean's list for the spring semester and attained a GPA of 3.8.

Yurick is engaged to Shane Schirer of Beltzville and the mother of a one-year-old daughter named Madeline and is expecting her second child, a son, in September.

She is the granddaughter of Thomas and Joan Shober of Nesquehoning and Paul and Frances Yurick of Summit Hill.
