Monroe man facing assault count

A Monroe County man is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident that occurred about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 672 Church Rd., in Edlred Township.

State police at Lehighton said Larry A. Booth Jr., 30, got into a argument with a 24-year-old female which turned physical. Booth allegedly dragged the victim on the floor and then struck her with an open hand several times.
