Theft of vehicle is probed
State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of a vehicle in Schuylkill County.
Troopers said a black 1990 Jeep Wrangler was reported stolen by its owner, Jeremy Lutz, 26, of Jonestown, on Aug. 11. Lutz parked the vehicle along Swopes Valley Road, about a half mile from SR443, in Pine Grove Township, about 8 p.m. and found it missing at 11:59 p.m. The Wrangler had no doors or roof on it. The wheels were spray painted silver and it is valued at $250.
Troopers also reported on two criminal mischief incidents.
Donna Kaczmarczsyk, 47, of Mahanoy City, reported that someone smashed out the left rear trunk window and made about 24- inch scratch to the left rear side panel on her 2002 Chevrolet Blazer. The incident occurred when the vehicle was parked at 112 Pottsville St., Cressona, sometime between Aug. 11 and 14.
Junior Harner, 77, of 14 N. Crescent St., Tremont, reported someone fired two BB pellets at his 1990 Nissan Pathfinder putting two cracks in the front driver side windshield while parked at his residence.
The incident occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
