Palmerton coaches hired

Palmerton Area School Board on Tuesday unanimously approved the following extracurricular positions per the negotiated contract for the 2010-11 school year:

Anne Schneider, field hockey, volunteer.

Michael Gombert, head track coach, $3,805.

Glenn Reimer, head softball coach, $3,805.

Matthew Krempasky, junior high field hockey coach, $2,498.

Ryan Sharkazy, assistant boy's soccer coach, $2,498.

Avery Weber, assistant football coach, volunteer.

Susan Pielmeier, swim coach (co-deck), volunteer.

Karl Pielmeier, swim coach (co-deck), volunteer.

The board also approved, on an 8-0 vote, with an abstention from Director Susan Debski:

Barry Hahn, head girls soccer coach, $3,805.

The board also tabled the following extracurricular positions per the negotiated contract for the 2010-11 school year:

Daniele Schneider, head tennis coach, $2,288.

Thomas Smelas, head baseball coach, $3,805.
