Schuylkill crash
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two-vehicle crash about 10:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, along SR61 in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.
Troopers said Alma A. Zimmerman, 73, of Pine Grove, and Wade R. Kunkle, 52, of Laureldale, Berks County, were both northbound in the right lane.
Troopers said Kunkle stopped due to a backlog of traffic ahead of him because of an oversized load blocking the road at SR895.
The front of Zimmerman's 2006 Ford Escape hit the rear of Kunkle's 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Troopers said Zimmerman was negotiating a right hand curve when she came upon the stopped vehicle and could not stop in time.
Zimmerman, her husband, John, 73, Kunkle and his passenger, Jamie Mirewnda, 33, of Birdsboro, were all not injured.
