Schuylkill driver cited after crash

A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 3:05 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, along SR1010, also known as the "Pottie Hill" in Mahanoy Township.

State police at Frackville said Jill J. Fetterman, 38, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero southbound and failed to negotiate a left hand curve. The car went onto the west shoulder and rolled onto the passengers side then struck a tree with the roof, where it came to rest, facing south.

Fetterman was injured and transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, by Mahanoy City ambulance, for treatment of a head laceration.

Troopers said Fetterman will be cited for driving too fast for conditions and driving on roadways laned for traffic.
