No injuries in Schuylkill crash
No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, along Spruce Street, commonly known as Potsie Hill, in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville said Julio P. Sylvestor, 65, of Pottsville, was driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan southbound when he lost control negotiating a sharp left curve. The van went onto the west berm and traveled down an embankment, coming to rest facing south.
Troopers said Sylvestor will be cited for traveling on roadways laned for traffic.
This was the second crash on the hill this week.
