Two drivers cited for drunk driving

Two Schuylkill County drivers are facing driving under the influence (DUI) charges in separate incidents occurring on Friday, Aug. 27.

State police at Frackville said at 10:10 p.m. Henry Lesher, 38, of Orwigsburg, was stopped along Brockton Mountain Road at State Road in Ryan Township for traffic violations. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. The test showed he was over the legal limit of .08 percent, troopers said.

At 10:45 p.m. Steven Bruce Bixler Jr., 28, of Valley View, was stopped along SR1006 (Burma Road), in Blythe Township, after being observed driving erratically. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, where he submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.
