Monroe man jailed for burglary

A Monroe County man was jailed for burlgary and criminal trespass following an incident that occurred on Friday, Nov. 26.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to 6108 Boardwalk Drive, A Pocono Country Place, Tobyhanna, about 11:38 pm. for a burglary. The owner of the residence told officers she fled to a neighbors house after finding a man in her home.

Police set up a perimeter around the house with the development security. The man was later identified as Shamel Maneri, 24, of Coolbaugh. He was taken into custody and charged. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
