Summit Hill
Lions Club
Members of the Summit Hill Lions Club will be participating in the tree decorating event at The Summit Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton.

The club's annual Christmas party will be held on Sunday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m. at Macaluso's at The Lantern, Nesquehoning.
Scripture sharing
The weekly scripture sharing sessions hosted by St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. in the church rectory.
Bloodmobile set
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will sponsor a bloodmobile visit for the Miller-Keystone Blood Center on Thursday, Dec. 14.
The event will take place in the church hall from 2-7 p.m. A goal of 35 units has been set.
Miller-Keystone is the only blood supplier to our local hospitals Blue Mountain Health System Lehighton and Palmerton, and the St. Luke Hospital and Health Network (Miner's Memorial, Coaldale).
Persons interested in donating are asked to contact the church office, (570) 645-2664, to reserve a donor time.
SHCIO to meet
The Summit Hill Community Improvement Organization will meet on Monday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Summit Hill Borough Hall. Debra Ranck, president, will be in charge of the session.
Lansford
Sokols' dinner
Members of Group 18 of the Slovak Catholic Sokols will hold their annual dinner meeting on Sunday, Dec. 5. Members are asked to assemble in the vestibule of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, prior to the 10:30 a.m. Mass. After Mass, they will reconvene at the Viennese Villa, Coaldale, where a business session will precede the dinner.

Christmas party
The St. Ann Society Branch No. 140 will hold its annual Christmas dinner on Sunday, Dec. 5, at Macaluso's at The Lantern, Nesquehoning. The dinner will begin at 1:30 p.m.
