Vehicle theft probed in Thorpe

Jim Thorpe police are investigating a vehicle theft incident.

Police said about 8:58 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 25, officers were called to the Harry Packer Mansion to a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers learned that a 2009 Infiniti, owned by Robert and Taylor Handwerk, of Jim Thorpe, was removed from a parking lot at the mansion and driven to the Asa Packer Mansion nearby and left in the driveway. Removed from the vehicle was an iPad and key fob, police said.
