Blame the drivers, not the road

Dear Editor:

I am appalled that taxpayer dollars are being wasted on the Route 54 S curve project.

I travelRoute 54 regularly and I find nothing dangerous about those curves so long as people stay within the posted speed limit. Often while driving at or slightly above the speed limit I am either tailgated or passed. Sometimes where it's legal, mostly where it is neither legal nor safe.

The road is fine. Speeding and careless driving cause the accidents. There are no bad roads, only bad drivers.
