Lehigh driver facing DUI count

A Lehigh County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a crash in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Allen Clark, 48, of Allentown, was operating a 2002 Dodge Caravan about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 30, along Koch Road, in Towamensing Township, when it left the road and struck a tree stump.

Clark, who was not injured, was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. The test determined he was over the legal limit of .08 percent. Charges were filed, troopers said.
