Arrest made in theft incident

State police at Frackville reported an arrest has been made in a shoplifting incident at a Schuylkill County store.

Troopers said Stephanie Knorr, 23, last known address of 7 Fourth St., Frackville, has been charged with retail theft.

She is charged in connection with an incident that occurred about 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 1 at the Sears store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township. Troopers alleged she left the store with merchandise without paying for it. When confronted outside by store security she fled in a late 1990s model Pontiac Grand Am.

Troopers said when confronted by the security personnel Knorr struck a female employee with a tool set. She also pushed the female before fleeing. The employee was not injured, troopers said.

An arrest warrant has been obtained for Knorr, who is not yet in custody, troopers added. Anyone who knows of Knorr's whereabouts is asked to call troopers at (570) 874-5300.
