File for divorce
David K. Rockwell, 622 Arlngton St., Tamaqua, started a divorce proceeding against Mrian B. Blieka, 37 Payson Ave., New York City. They were married Nov. 27, 2007.
Angela Stahl, 324 E. Union St., Tamaqua, filed suit for divorce from Timothy M. Stahl, 618 E. Elm St., Tamaqua. They were married April 7, 1993.
Jason Skripko, 65 Washington St., Middleport, started a divorce action against Mary Ann Skripko, 250 Pine Grove Drive, Andrews, N.C. They were married July 3, 2006.
Stephen J. Bernadyn, 2 Red Oak Terrace, New Ringgold, filed a suit for divorce from Janet M. Bernadyn, 26 Bruno Ave., McAdoo. They were married Nov. 20, 1990.
Divorces granted
Wiliam M. Weist, Orwigsburg, was granted a divorce from Danielle Weist, Schuylkill Haven. They were married Dec. 12, 2008.
Cathy Ann Wheeler, Gordon, was granted a divorce from Eric E. Wheeler, of North Carolina. They were married May 30, 2007.
Reinstate bail
Steven Berger, 22, who resided at 14 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, at the time of his arrest, appeared in court on a bench warrant issued last Nov. 24 for failure to appear. After the hearing Judge D. Michael Stine vacated the bench warrant and set aside the bail forfeiture and reinstated the same bail, however, with a special condition, he must reside at 119 Main Road, Lehighton, and is not to relocated without prior court approval.
Berger faces two retail theft charges, one brought by Rush Township Patrolman Brian Thompson, alleging Berger stole merchandise valued at $440.40 from Walmart Store, Hometown, on March 26; and Rush Cpl. Duane Fredericks, alleges Berger took merchandise from Walmart valued at $338 last March 28.
Ronn Wiliam White, 26, who resided in Shenandoah at the time of his arrest, appeared in court on a bench warrant issued last Oct. 5 for failure to keep a court date and received a hearing before Stine, who vacated the bench warrant, set aside the bail forfeiture and reinstated the same bail with a specification White reside at 77 Cherry St., Cressona.
White was first cited by Pottsville Patroman Paul Olson, on Sept. 26, 2009, charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia and Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey, Pottsville Police, cited him on Feb. 1, with tampering with public record to acquire an apartment in the Pottsville Housing Authority units.
Dismiss charge
Thomas Brooks Wheeler, 61, of Orwigsburg, won his appeal from a summary conviction by a district justice when Judge Stine, after a hearing, adjudged him not guilty of disregarding a traffic light as he was charged by Pottsville police and the fine and cost of $109.50 was vacated.
Seek back taxes
Tamaqua Area School District filed a petition in court to enter a lien against the property at 629 Hazle St., Tamaqua, owned by James D. and Nancy E. Fisher, claiming $814.91 is owed in school real estate tax.
Credit card debts
Commonweath Financial Systems Inc., Dickinson City, filed suit against Eric Orach, 109 Cottage Ave., Tamaqua, alleging he owes $18,620.14 on a credit card.
Aurrora Loan Services, LLC, Scottsbluff, Me., filed suit against Donna L. Vermillion, last know address, 21 Spruce St., Tamaqua, alleging she owes a balance of $84,061.25 on a credit card.
Dell Financial Services, LLC, Malvern, filed suit against Eugene C. Reed, 110 Greenwood St., Coaldale, alleging he owes a balance of $2,120.38 on a credit card.
