Schuylkill crashes
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes probed by troopers along Schuylkill County roadways, both occurring on Wednesday, Dec. 8.
The first crash occurred about 8 a.m. along Panther Valley Road, in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Jenna L. Donmoyer, 23, of Pottsville, was driving a 2005 Ford Focus and exiting her driveway while Erik R. Bubeck, 24, of Schuylkill Haven, was westbound in a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.
Donmoyer attempted to turn left onto the road and pulled into the path of Bubeck, who swerved to avoid the Focus but could not.
The Jeep struck the left front quarter panel of the Focus. After impact the Focus spun about 90 degreees and the Jeep overturned onto its side.
Bubeck sustained what troopers said was a major injury and was taken to a Pottsville hospital. Donmoyer sustained a moderate injury, troopers said, and was also taken to a Pottsville area hospital.
Troopers cited Donmoyer for emerging from alley, driveway or building.
The second crash was reported about 11 p.m. along Taylorsville Road, west of T409, in Eldred Township. Troopers said Jeffrey A. Fetterolf, 26, of Ashland, was driving a 1993 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound and negotiating a left hand curve when he lost control. The car began to spin in a counter-clockwise direction across both lanes of travel. The car then went onto the berm, continued about 78 feet across the snow-covered berm with the passenger side front door area hitting a tree, where the car came to rest.
Fetterolf was not injured. Troopers cited Fetterolf for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
