Tamaqua driver facing DUI count

A Tamaqua driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred early Friday, Dec. 10.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Trent J. Jacoby, 30, was stopped about 2:55 a.m. along SR183, in the vicinity of Kramer's Equipment and Bridge Market, in Wayne Township, after being observed driving erratically.

He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest, troopers said. The DUI charge is pending.
