Carbon break-in

State police at Lehighton responded to a report of a burglary at the residence of Dorenda Muchmore, 81 of Interchange Road, Lehighton on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 8 a.m. Evidence at the scene showed that someone broke a padlock located on a door in the rear of the structure then pried open a second metal door then entered Muchmore's detached garage/barn. Once inside, multiple pieces of antique jewelry and approximately $30 were stolen. The criminals fled the scene at the point of entry.
