Lehighton couple wed 56 years

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Greene Jr. of Lehighton recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Dec. 11, 1954 at the Methodist Church in Parryville.

Mr. Greene is the son of the late Norman and Florence (Andreas) Greene. Mrs. Greene is the daughter of the late Frank and Matrona (Dorward) Rehrig.

The Greenes have two children: Kim Henry, wife of Harold Henry of Lehighton; and Norman III, husband of Tracey Greene of Lehighton.

They also have five grandchildren: Timothy Knopf, Lehighton; and Emily, Heidi, Linsey and Norman IV, also of Lehighton.

They have three great-grandsons: Trent, Alex and Lucas, all of Lehighton.

The Greenes were honored at a family dinner hosted by their children.
