Monroe man jailed in gun incident

A Monroe County man was jailed on Saturday, Dec. 11, following a gun incident at a bar.

State police at Lehighton said troopers were dispatched to Luna Rosa Bar, located off SR209, in Polk Township, about 1:15 a.m. for a disturbance. At the bar troopers found Matthew J. Kozero, 19, of Box 38 HC No.1, Gilbert, who was involved in the disturbance and that he had a handgun in his waistband.

Kozero was taken into custody and it was learned he did not have a permit to carry the gun. He was placed under arrest for a felony count of firearms not to be carried without a license. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville, troopers said.
