Schuylkill man cited for theft
A Schuylkill County man was cited for retail theft at a store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.
State police at Frackville said Duane Harold Maurer, 47, of Ashland, was cited about 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, at the Sears store. He allegedly was observed by store security forcibly opening a plastic display package, removing a HDMI cord valued at $29.99, and placing it in a separate bag and discarding the packaging.
He was issued a citation and then released.
