Misjudgment causes crash

A Lake Ariel man misjudged the turning radius of the trailer he was towing Sunday afternoon, Dec. 12, in Tamaqua.

Jay R. Williams was driving a 2007 U Haul van north on Elizabeth Street at 12:45 p.m. and attempted to make a left tun on to Elm Street. As he turned the vehicle a trailer attached to the van struck the guide rail and cable on the side of the roadway.

Damages to the rail, cable and trailer were termed moderate.
