Wanted person caught in Monroe

A person wanted on a warrant issued out of New Jersey was apprehended in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported that on Dec. 9 about 6:45 a.m. Pocono officers along with New Jersey state police and the U.S. Marshall's Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Richard Bergerman, 48, of Piscataway, N.J., at a residence at 3163 Lakeview Drive, in Tobyhanna.

The warrant was issued out of Warren County, N.J., for a probation violation. Bergeman was arraigned before District Judge Anthony Fluegel, of Pocono Pines, and committed to the county prison in Snydersville pending extradition to New Jersey.
