Assault incident probed in Monroe

State police at Lehighton are investigating an assault incident that occurred in Monroe County.

Troopers said a 14-year-old male juvenile from Saylorsburg was walking through a field to his home about 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 5 when he was attacked by three males. The victim was struck in the face and body numerous times. The three criminals then fled the scene leaving the victim lying on the ground, troopers added.
