Driver facing DUI after crash
A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a two vehicle crash that occurred about 4:03 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, along SR901 at the entrance to a Turkey Hill market in Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Dorothy Reichert, 52, of Minersville, was operating a 1996 Mercury Sable eastbound and attempting to turn right into the market when her vehicle was struck from behind by a 1998 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Jeffrey William Tellez, 39, of Pottsville.
Reichert, Tellez and his passenger, Loren M. Zelonis, 27, of Minersville, were all not injured. Damages were minor to the vehicles.
Tellez was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody and charged, troopers said.
