Handguns stolen in Monroe entry
Several handguns were reported stolen in a Monroe County burglary.
State police at Lehighton said the residence of Kendall Michael Mitchell, 46, of 107 Cabin Lane, Kunkletown, Eldred Township, was entered by forcing a kitchen door and the guns removed. The incident occurred sometime between 8 and 11 a.m. on Dec. 13.
Troopers are also investigating a break-in at the home of William Craig Finkel, 56, of Chestnut Drive, in Eldred Township. Troopers said entry was gained through the front door by hitting it with an unknown type blunt instrument. Once inside the criminals removed cash and miscellaneous jewelry. The entry occurred sometime between Dec. 10-13.
