Palmerton board accepts coaching resignations

Palmerton Area School Board unanimously approved the following extracurricular moves on Tuesday:

- Accepted the resignation, with regret, of Paul McArdle, head football coach, effective Dec. 10, 2010.

- Accepted the resignation of Terry Balliet, assistant girls' basketball coach, effective Dec. 3, 2010.

The board also approved the following extracurricular and cocurricular positions per the negotiated contract for the 2010-11 school year:

Brandon James Hibbler, boys basketball, volunteer.

Tara Schieder, girls soccer, volunteer.
