Man jailed for domestic assault
A Nesquehoning man was jailed for domestic assault.
Borough police officers Brian White and Tom Kurtz were dispatched to 7 E. Railroad St. for an active domestic incident. Upon arrival the officers were told that Michael Peters and Renee Gibbons were fighting. During the argument Peters allegedly struck Gibbons in the left eye.
Peters was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford, and committed to the county prison after failing to post bail. Police did not indicate the date of the incident.
