Justice for all?

Published December 18. 2010 09:00AM

Dear Editor:

I read in a recent issue of the Times News that a local woman was arrested at a local pharmacy for unlawfully removing one condom from a pack and then providing false information to authorities. I am fully aware that our legal system does not condone these actions, I firmly believe that 2 issues should be taken into consideration in this case, one being that the possibility of sexually transmitted diseases were greatly reduced and also the conception of an unwanted child was almost completed eliminated. Just think of how much money this woman may have saved the taxpayers over the next 18 years!

Also, how does this compare to the guy who brutally raped and beat a 91 year old woman on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2009? He is living comfortably at taxpayer expense and has yet to be brought to trial.

It's a good thing that I'm not sitting in judgment of these two issues. There would definitely be some new precedents set!

Respectfully,
