Threat written on bathroom tile in school

Tamaqua Police were dispatched to the Tamaqua Senior High School at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday after a custodian discovered a threat written on a tile in a bathroom. Law enforcement and school district personnel spent hours conducting a thorough sweep of the building and determined the threat was "not credible."

Following a short investigation, a 16 -year-old West Penn Township male was questioned and admitted writing the threat. He has been referred to juvenile authorities.
