Bloomsburg man hurt in accident

Ralph H. Bankes, 38, of Bloomsburg, sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 6 a.m. Dec. 23 on State Route 339 in North Union Township, Schuylkill County, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said he was driving a 2003 Ford F150 northbound when it traveled off the left shoulder of the roadway, went over a guide rail and rolled partially down an embankment.

Police said Bankes was treated at the Berwick Hospital.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said the driver will be cited as a result of the crash.
