Car slides on ice, crashes in Monroe

Javid Banez, 25, of Blakeslee, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. on State Route 115, near Russell Court, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said he was southbound in a 2007 Pontiac G6 when he lost control of the vehicle after is slid on an ice patch. The car traveled off the southbound shoulder of Rt. 115 and struck a ditch. It then went across the northbound lane of the highway and came to rest on the northbound shoulder facing south.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
