Frackville shoplifter sought by police

State police at the Frackville barracks are trying to locate Stephenie Knorr, 23, of Frackville, for whom a felony warrant exists as a result of a shoplifting incident that happened at the Sears store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.

Police said the incident happened at 3:15 Dec. 1, after Knorr removed various items for sale from the store. She was confronted by the store's loss prevention personnel, although Knorr was able to get to her vehicle and flee the scene.

Police said their investigation led to the identity of Knorr. Further reports indicate the woman struck a female loss prevention associate with a tool set before fleeing the store. The associate was not injured.

Charges of felony retail theft and a summary charge of harassment have been filed against Knorr, who police said is not in custody.
