One person hurt in Rt. 248 crash

One person was hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 2:57 p.m. Dec. 24 on Route 248 in Parryville Borough.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Alissa K. Heckman, 22, of Catasauqua, sustained minor injuries.

Police said she was driving a 1992 Plymouth Sundance westbound, east of State Road, when the vehicle struck a concrete barrier.

The car sustained moderate damages.

Two passengers with Heckman, Brook Bigley, 2, and Lacey Bigley, 1, also of Catasauqua, were uninjured. Police said child safety seats were used.
