Auburn man facing charges of DUI

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said David Beesley, 54, of Auburn, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a one-car crash Dec. 30 at 11:30 p.m. on State Route 895 in South Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

Police said he was driving a 2009 Ford Fusion eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle.

It began to turn counter-clockwise acorss both lanes, traveled onto the north berm and rolled onto its roof, traveling abother 90 feet along the north berm embanknent before coming to rest.

Police said the car sustained moderate damages and was towed from the scene.

Police said Beesley was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville, for a blood test to determine his blood-alcohol level.
