Mahoning Twp. man charged with trespass at Wal-Mart
A Mahoning Township man has been cited with trespass after entering Wal-Mart Supercenter property after being barred from being there.
Joshua Frey, 22, of the 1300 block of Orioles Drive, was also charged with resisting arrest and recklessly endangering another person after the Dec. 23 incident.
Police Chief Kenneth Barnes reported that at 6:02 p.m., police were dispatched to the store for a report of a male who was trespassing in the store and was fleeing the store.
Upon arrival, store loss prevention personnel told police that the male, who was wearing a white coat, had fled, running toward Route 443. The officer located the male, identified as Frey. Frey had a previous no trespass order given to him to not enter Wal-Mart property.
The officer advised Frey he was taking him into custody. Frey did not comply with the officer and physically fought with him and resisted being placed under arrest. This took place along the side of the road where vehicles were passing by at a high rate of speed further endangering the arresting officer. The officer eventually subdued and or gained control of Frey and transported him to the police station.
