McAdoo man cited by Tamaqua police

A McAdoo man has been cited by Tamaqua police after causing a disturbance in the borough early Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to 35 N. Railroad St., at 12:25 a.m., after the resident found a suspicious person on her property. The woman told police a male had knocked on her door then fell into a chair on her porch. As officers arrived the male attempted to get on his feet and became belligerent. He was identified as Jeffrey Boyer, 45, of 123 W. Blaine St., who was in a visibly, highly intoxicated state.

Boyer was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
