The engagement of Hannah McPherson of Pratt, Kansas, to Cody Barilla, also of Pratt, has been announced by his grandmother, Barbara Barilla of Lehighton.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Herb and Kris McPherson of Pratt.
She is a student at Kansas State University, majoring in elementary education.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Richard Barilla of Lehighton and the late Deanna Dee Barilla.
He is an agronomy major at Kansas State University.
The couple has set a wedding date for Aug. 7, 2010.
