Florida driver in Monroe crash

A Florida driver was involved in a one vehicle crash in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said Howard Steven Ruben, 54, of Deerfield Beach, was driving a 1995 Lexus SC300 westbound on Meixell Valley Road, near Weir Lake Road, in Ross Township about 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 1. Troopers said Ruben failed to negotiate a curve with the vehicle going onto the berm and striking a utility pole with the right rear corner.

The car came to rest against a shed facing south about 15-feet north of the road.

Ruben was not injured with damages moderate to the vehicle. Ruben was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
