Donations needed
Preparation is under way for the annual Carbon-Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society Telethon Committee Chinese Auction.
Currently area businesses are being solicited for donations. Anyone interested in donating or helping should contact Mary Ann Dulaney at (570) 645-4228 or (610) 844-6643 or madula@ptd.net.
The ACS Chinese Auction will be held on Sunday, March 7 at the Lakeside Ballroom, located on Route 54 in Barnesville. Doors open at noon and the auction begins at 3 p.m. Polka Joe will entertain from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., with entertainment by Cody Sassaman to follow.
You don't need to be present at the auction to win. Prizes include a laptop, oil, gas, electronics, appliances, restaurant certificates, vacations, etc. For more information visit www.acstelethon.org
All proceeds from the auction will be presented at the 31st Annual ACS Telethon to be held on April 10-11 at Penn's Peak and will be broadcast live on BRC TV-13 and Service Electric cable TV. The public is invited to attend the telethon as well to enjoy live entertainment.
