The Office of Stewardship and Development of the Diocese of Allentown invited students throughout the Diocese in grades kindergarten through eight and the special learning centers to participate in its annual art contest. Students drew a picture based on the theme Catholic Schools: Faith and Knowledge for Life. A panel of judges from the Diocese selected winners from each grade from each of the five counties in the Diocese. Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, had two winners: Abby O'Donnell (7th grade) and Jacob Trubilla (1st grade). They were honored along with the other winners at the Celebration of the Arts at Holy Name High School in Reading on Saturday, Jan. 30. Here, Abby O'Donnell and Jacob Trubilla are pictured along with Bishop John Barres, Bishop of the Diocese of Allentown, and Sr. Regina Elinich, principal of Our Lady of the Angels Academy.
